After 8 months of being part of Avecto, the big move from the UK to Boston finally came around, saying goodbye to friends, family and of course my old job. No more time differences, no more typing in +1 whenever I call the states, and apparently no more rainy Manchester days – well, fingers crossed.

I’ve mentioned previously in a blog that Avecto are currently supporting local mental health charities and trying to promote positive mental health around our offices. If you can contain or block threats before they hit the endpoint with network-based security such as detection and sandboxing, that is always a good idea. The problem is that if you don’t secure the endpoints first, you end up with an eggshell security stance, where you are reliant on a single outer shell to protect your data. Without secure endpoints, even one small crack in the network shell will cause all of your data to spill out, creating a real mess..
